Este projeto foi desenvolvido no âmbito da disciplina Projeto para o curso de multimédia na Escola Superior de Medias Artes e Design e tem como objetivo aplicar o que foi aprendido através de duas áreas: animação de recortes e imagem real. A Teoria Da Evolução pega na animação de recorte e enquadra-o no contexto de multimédia tomando uma abordagem digital utilizando os softwares After Effects, Adobe Photoshop e Adobe Premiere para o movimento e a criação de cenárias e personagens, resultando em uma estética única com semelhanças à tradicional em papel.

O conceito é baseado num episódio de The Simpsons em que a Lisa cria vida dentro de um dente em decomposição (Treehouse of Horror VII) explora o tema da evolução da humanidade em uma comédia absurda: e se os piolhos se desenvolvessem na cabeça de alguém e criassem uma civilização?

Através do desenvolvimento dos piolhos pretendo abordar várias eras até à atualidade, desde os primórdios da argicultura, a revolução industrial, os descobrimentos, etc, assim realçando a história de toda a humanidade com um tom de comédia.

This project was developed as part of the discipline Project for the multimedia course at the School of Media Arts and Design and aims to apply what was learned through two areas: cut out animation and real image. The Theory Of Evolution takes cutout animation and fits it into the multimedia context taking a digital approach using After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere software for movement and the creation of scenery and characters, resulting in a unique aesthetic with similarities to the traditional paper-based one.

The concept is based on an episode of The Simpsons in which Lisa creates life inside a decaying tooth (Treehouse of Horror VII) explores the theme of the evolution of humanity in an absurdist comedy: what if lice developed in someone’s head and created a civilisation?

Through the development of lice I intend to address various eras up to the present day, from the beginnings of argiculture, the industrial revolution, discoveries, etc, thus highlighting the history of all humanity with a comedy tone.
