“Duo” é um projeto fotográfico sobre o toque e o tato, explorando o conceito da materialidade e da tangibilidade na fotografia. É possível evocar o sentido do tato apenas olhando para uma imagem, como se os nossos olhos tocassem no que estamos a ver? O dispositivo escolhido para materializar as imagens foi o diapositivo, juntamente com a sua projeção. Este suporte possui bastantes características tácteis, desde o processo de revelação do filme, passando pela montagem nos caixilhos dos slides, até à formação de uma imagem projetada. Todos estes aspetos são importantes para enaltecer a sensação da palpabilidade, e principalmente pela possibilidade de obter um produto final que transporta as imagens para uma realidade tangível.

“Duo” is a photographic project about touch and tact, exploring the concept of materiality and tangibility in photography. Is it possible to evoke the sense of touch just by looking at an image as if our eyes were touching what we are seeing? The device chosen to materialize the images was the slide, along with its projection. This support has many tactile characteristics, from the process of developing the film, the assembly of the slides in the frames, to the creation of a projected image. All these aspects are important to enhance the sensation of palpability, and especially for the possibility of obtaining a final product that transports the images to a tangible reality.
