O presente trabalho insere-se no âmbito de um estágio curricular e consiste na
realização, de forma autónoma, de um conjunto de atividades práticas e
reflexivas relacionadas com a captação, seleção, pós-produção e gestão do
arquivo fotográfico dos espetáculos apresentados na 17.a edição do Festival de
Teatro da cidade de São João da Madeira, bem como de outro evento cultural
local intitulado A Cidade Dança. Estas iniciativas, de grande relevância no
panorama cultural local, reúnem expressões artísticas diversificadas e
representam momentos significativos de partilha entre artistas, público e
comunidade. A tarefa atribuída à fotógrafa não se limitou ao simples registo visual dos acontecimentos, mas implicou também um envolvimento autoral no
processo de documentação, assumindo um papel ativo na mediação entre a cena
e o olhar do público.
Este trabalho procurou, assim, articular competências técnicas e sensibilidade
estética, explorando o potencial da fotografia como instrumento de memória,
interpretação e valorização do património imaterial ligado às artes performativas.
Para além da vertente técnica, a prática fotográfica desenvolvida assumiu
também um compromisso com a identidade local, contribuindo para a
preservação e difusão da cultura através de uma linguagem visual própria e
fundamentada.

This work is part of a curricular internship and involves the autonomous execution
of a set of practical and reflective activities related to the capture, selection, post
production, and management of the photographic archive of performances
presented during the 17th edition of the Theatre Festival in the city of São João da
Madeira, as well as another local cultural event titled A Cidade Dança (The City
Dances). These initiatives, of significant relevance within the local cultural
landscape, bring together diverse artistic expressions and represent meaningful
moments of exchange between artists, audiences, and the wider community. The
task assigned to the photographer went beyond the mere visual recording of the
events; it also entailed an authorial involvement in the documentation process,
assuming an active role in mediating between the stage and the viewer’s gaze.
This project aimed to integrate technical skills with aesthetic sensitivity, exploring
the potential of photography as a tool for memory, interpretation, and the
valorization of intangible cultural heritage related to the performing arts. Beyond
its technical dimension, the photographic practice developed here also embraced
a commitment to local identity, contributing to the preservation and
dissemination of culture through a distinct and well-grounded visual language.
