“Heróis do Mar” é um projeto fotográfico documental produzido na Base Naval e Gabinete do Estado Maior da Armada. As fotografias refletem sobre a hierarquia, ordem, disciplina, controle e sigilo. Revelam como os espaços militares, embora bem estruturados e controlados, apresentam sinais de desuso e esquecimento, reflexo dos paradigmas político e sociais contemporâneos.

Pretende-se que esta abordagem a espaços menos visíveis da Marinha, revelem a forma como eles sustentam uma estrutura de poder, ancorada numa visão mitificada.

“‘Heroes of the Sea’ is a documentary photography project produced at the Naval Base and the Office of the Chief of Staff of the Navy. The photographs reflect on hierarchy, order, discipline, control, and secrecy. They reveal how military spaces, although well-structured and controlled, show signs of disuse and neglect, reflecting contemporary political and social paradigms.

This approach to the less visible spaces of the Navy aims to reveal how they sustain a power structure anchored in a mythologized vision.”
