Póvoa de Varzim é uma cidade portuguesa na Região Norte, situada numa planície costeira arenosa, a meio caminho entre os rios Minho e Douro e com 40 053 habitantes no seu perímetro urbano. A cidade está ligada ao seu doloroso passado histórico relacionado com as tragédias marítimas, onde centenas de pescadores perderam a vida no mar, sustentando até aos dias de hoje o seu tributo. Com siglas poveiras em todo o lado, murais de azulejos em memória dos heróis que já partiram, um mar/rio que reflete os tons cítricos do sol ao fim da tarde, inspiramos quase obrigatoriamente toda uma melancolia e luto agregadas ao fardo que a cidade carrega, esquecendo quase o quão bonita é, as utilidades e espaços que possui, e a saudável natureza que engloba. O objetivo é transformar todo o seu fardo em algo mais leve e atrativo, que conquiste a alegria e o à vontade das pessoas. Atrair ainda turismo, através duma linguagem hospedeira e moderna, no entanto, fiel à sua história.
