Como se não bastassem os teus vales fecundos. Levo-te pela encosta onde o vento soa
nos meus ouvidos como uma simples melodia que atravessa a neblina matinal das tuas
belas arestas. E na imensidão do teu ser. Oh bela terra que me criaste, em ti edifico o
que quero subtrair de mim, do meu pensamento, da minha arte se esta existe.
Foste pura poesia do esplendor natural que o Minho te deixou sussurrar por entre as
gentes da tua terra. Guardas no trono o baú dos segredos que poucos tentaram
desvendar através da imagem fotográfica, erguendo-se o bom-tom usado pelos
historiadores que naquela época te pisavam os pés. O teu bom engenho chegou até
mim pelos meus parentes que não souberam se despedir de ti, deixando os seus
corpos no subsolo que te aconchega. As marcas da ruralidade arcaica, onde o campo
verdejante ainda se deixa caminhar pela lavoura do dia-a-dia será registado pelo meu
“eu” poético, antes que esta se desvaneça.
As if not enough your fertile valleys. Take you down the slope where the wind
sounds in my ears as a simple melody that runs through the morning mist of your
fine edges. And in the vastness of your being. Oh beautiful earth that created me, on you I
build on what I want to subtract from me, from my thoughts, my art if it exists.
You were pure poetry of natural splendor that Minho left you whispering among the
people of your land. You keep on the throne the ark of secrets that few have
attempted to unravel through the photographic image, rising up the good tone used
by historians who at that time stepped you.
Your inventiveness came to me by my relatives who were unable to say goodbye to you,
leaving their bodies in your good the earth. The archaic signs of rurality,
where the green fields that can still be walked by the day-to-day labour will be recorded by my poetic self, before it fades.
