Como fotografar um povo? E a sua pátria? Através dos seus rostos, dos monumentos, das suas paisagens, dos seus signos?
Neste trabalho, a opção recai sobre um símbolo, o hino nacional, com enfoque no seu refrão. Em que locais? Naqueles onde cuja missão é defender a pátria; as Forças Armadas.
São momentos captados ao longo de três meses, que refletem um sentimento de descoberta de uma realidade, a qual surge registada pela primeira vez transversalmente, no três ramos das Forças Armadas Portuguesas.
São também momentos de liberdade, que o olhar do fotógrafo registou, sem condicionalismos prévios, encenações, ou qualquer outro tipo de limitação.

How to photograph a nation? And their homeland? Through their faces, the monuments, its landscapes, its signs?
In this work, the option is on a symbol, the national anthem, with a focus on its chorus. In what locations? Where those whose mission is to defend the homeland, the Armed Forces.
These are moments captured over three months, reflecting a sense of discovery of a reality, which comes across recorded for the first time in the three branches of the Armed Forces.
They are also moments of freedom, that the eye of the photographer noted, without prior constraints, performances, or any other kind of limitation.
