Estas são mulheres que escolheram ser domésticas, que nunca conheceram outra realidade para além da entrega total ao seu lar, papel assente na ideia de devoção à sua família, vivendo em prol da satisfação das necessidades e bem-estar dos seus membros. São, deste modo, o núcleo e os alicerces da família e da comunidade e é este trabalho doméstico permanente, mas muitas vezes invisível, que as define e é definido por elas. Estas mulheres abrem as suas casas e deixam-se fotografar na sua zona de conforto com a mesma entrega que as caracteriza.
Todas estas mulheres residem na aldeia de Meinedo, a cerca de 40 km da cidade do Porto.

These are women who chose to be housewives, who have never known another reality beyond the total commitment to their homes, based on the idea of devotion to their family, living for the sake of satisfying the needs and welfare of its members. They are the core and the foundation of their family and communities, an ongoing, but often invisible, domestic work, that defines and is defined by them. These women opened their homes and let themselves be photographed in their comfort zone with the same sense of commitment that characterizes them.
All these women live in the village of Meinedo, 40 km from the city of Porto.
