Sujeito X propõe-nos, a partir do retrato, refletir sobre a ideia de representação na fotografia. O retrato surge como um ponto de partida, ele é a matéria-prima que será trabalhada pelo fotógrafo num processo de experimentação.
O trabalho resulta numa instalação site specific onde os retratos se dispõem em frente a uma caixa de luz, afastados entre si. Deste afastamento resulta uma ideia de tridimensionalidade e um fator de aleatoriedade na junção dos três retratos, dependendo do local onde o espetador se coloca. Esta possibilidade permite contrapor a ideia de uma verdade absoluta na fotografia
pela subjetividade do ponto de vista.

Sujeito X (Subject X) proposes, based on the portrait, to reflect on the idea of representation in photography. The portrait emerges as a starting point, it is the raw material that will be worked by the photographer in a process of experimentation.
The work will result in a site specific installation where the portraits are displayed at the front of a light box, apart from each other. This distance results on an idea of three-dimensionality and a factor of randomness on the junction of the three portraits, depending on the location of the spectator. This possibility allows to argue the idea of an absolute truth in photography through the point of view’s subjectivity.
