Sleeping with Ghosts tem como base um jogo entre dois mundos que aqui se fundem: o real e a fantasia. A representação fotográfica de pesadelos faz com que o intangível passe a ser o seu inverso, através de uma realidade construída e encenada.
O projeto surge do interesse em abordar temáticas mais abstratas e potenciadoras de um imaginário surreal. Cada imagem parte da exploração do subconsciente de alguém que expõe os seus pesadelos. Vemos aqui a junção de imaginários de duas pessoas distintas, protagonizadas por quem partilha e por quem fotografa.

Sleeping with Ghosts is based on a game between two merging worlds: the real and the fantasy. The photographic representation of nightmares converts the intangible in its own reverse, through a constructed and staged reality.
This project derives from the interest on approaching more abstract themes and also more connected to a surreal imaginary. Each image arises from the exploration of someone’s subconscious through their nightmares. We can find the merging of the imaginary of two individual persons, performed by the one who shares and the one who photographs.
