Após a descoberta da fotografia, o fascínio pelas imagens exactas e permanentes levou à interpretação das mesmas como um objecto documental e fidedigno do “real”. A imagem fotográfica torna-se num objecto móvel, acessível e representativo da realidade com a dualidade do registo enquanto imagem e da interpretação pelo seu valor associado. Este projecto apresenta-nos imagens de cenários da 2º Guerra Mundial, não do devaste das suas consequências mas sim do seu acontecimento efectivo, da acção. Não é impossível a associação atendendo à dimensão deste marco civilizacional mas aqui, a estrutura filial de ícones e símbolos não são o mais relevante mas sim a experiência visual do nosso imaginário. O que importa aqui não é só o contexto do acontecimento mas também o reconhecimento da sua catástrofe, através de uma abordagem plástica onde o documental se funde com o abstracto.

After the discovery of photography, the fascination with accurate and permanent images led to the interpretation of them as a documentary and reliable object of the "real". The photographic image becomes a moving object, accessible and representative of reality with the duality of registration as image and interpretation by its associated value. This project appears in the World War II scenarios images, not devastate its consequences but its actual event action. The association is not impossible because of the scale of this civilizational march but here, the affiliate structure icons and symbols are not the most important but the visual experience of our imagination. What matters here is not only the event context but also the recognition of the catastrophe, through a plastic approach where the documentary merges with the abstract.
