Este trabalho é constituído por uma série de paisagens fotográficas de caráter topográfico A intenção primária é a de que exista uma imagem representativa da industria em cada um dos 8 concelhos austrais da Área Metropolitana do Porto.
Foram escolhidas sempre áreas industriais inseridas nos subúrbios das cidades, onde é sugerida uma narrativa em que o observador questiona a influência do património urbano no património natural, e a razão pela qual esta de industria ter surgido de uma forma mais relevante após o de 25 de Abril.
Desta investigação resultaram questões não só em relação às virtudes que surgem da engenharia e ciência avançadas, mas também às ameaças que estas podem trazer. Apesar de este não ser um estudo ambiental, essa é uma questão subjacente que existe no projeto. A minha intenção enquanto autor é de que as interpretações sejam abertas, dependendo sempre da observação das imagens em série.
This study consists of a series of photographic landscapes of topographic character. The primary intention is that there is an image representative of the industry in each of the eight southern municipalities of the Porto Metropolitan Area.
There have always been chosen industrial areas inserted in the suburbs of cities, where a narrative in which questions about the influence of urban heritage in the natural heritage are suggested to the viewer and, also, why this industry has emerged in a more relevant way after the Portuguese 25th of April Revolution.
From this research, resulted questions not only regarding the virtues arising from advanced engineering and science, but also the threats that these can bring. Despite this not being an environmental study, there is such an underlying issue in the project. My intention as the author is that the interpretations are open, always depending on the observation of a series of images.
