A Gorreana nasceu em São Miguel, uma ilha verdejante e vulcânica situada em pleno Oceano Atlântico. Sendo a mais antiga e atualmente a única plantação de chá da Europa, é reconhecida internacionalmente como produtora de chá de primeira classe devido à sua qualidade e singularidade. A Gorreana é uma fábrica fundada pela família Mota em 1883 e, até aos dias de hoje é liderada pela geração mais recente.
Este projeto tem como base a “Camellia Sinensis”, a flor que origina o chá verde e o chá preto. As ilustrações tridimensionais foram criadas a partir de diferentes tipos de papel, tal como cartolina, papel celofane, lustro e seda. Através da sobreposição de todos estes elementos surgiram variadas composições e representações de flores.
Nesta coleção, cada chá está associado a uma pessoa da família Mota e dentro das embalagens encontram-se cartões com os seus testemunhos.
Este chá açoriano tão apreciado é cultivado nos campos situados nas belas montanhas da ilha e é unicamente português.

Gorreana was born in São Miguel, a luxuriant green and volcanic island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Being the oldest and currently the only tea plantation in Europe, it is internationally recognized as a first class tea producer due to its quality and uniqueness. Gorreana is a factory founded by the Mota family in 1883 and, to this day, is led by the most recent generation.
This project is based on the “Camellia Sinensis”, the flower from which green tea and black tea originate. The handmade three-dimensional illustrations were created with different types of paper, such as poster board, cellophane, glossy and silk paper. Through the layering of all these elements, various compositions and representations of flowers emerged.
In this collection, each tea is associated with a person from the Mota family and inside the packages there are cards with their testimonies.
This popular Azorean tea is grown in the fields located in the beautiful mountains of the island and is uniquely Portuguese.
