Sic Transit Gloria Mundi ou “assim transita a glória mundana”.

Uma expressão que refere a natureza transitória da vida, atribuindo a quem a viveu, como epitáfio, uma menção ao triunfo, à glória. O projeto pretende subverter a ideia de que essa glória está presente durante uma vida, atribuindo-a, em vez disso, à hora da morte. É nesta hora que o ser humano se despe do ego, pronto para dançar com os que já partiram numa festa final.

Sic Transit Gloria Mundi or “thus passes the worldly glory”.

An idiom that refers to the transitory nature of life, conferring who lived it, as an epitaph, a mention of triumph, of glory. The project aims to subvert the idea that such glory is present during one’s life, attributing it to one’s final hour instead. It’s during this hour that the human being sheds his ego, readying himself to dance along with the ones who’ve already departed in a final feast.
