Um biombo é um objeto com caráter amovível que serve para proteger ou ocultar uma área, ou em alternativa, poderá funcionar também como uma barreira contra o vento, pois o termo é oriundo do Japão, BIÔ-BU significa protetor de vento. Este biombo foi pensado para controlar a luz natural proveniente das janelas da fachada sul, onde se localizam a receção e o museu da empresa Nelo Kayaks. O BYÔ-BU é constituído por uma estrutura retangular em alumínio, com uma malha formada de pequenos losangulos em acrílico, que rodam sobre um eixo constituído por um fino varão de aço sobre tensão. Os pequenos losangulos ao rodarem sobre o eixo com a passagem de uma pequena brisa de ar criam um efeito visual cinético.

The BYÔ-BU is a rectangular structure made of aluminum, with a mesh formed of small acrylic lozenges, which rotate on an axis made of a thin steel rod under tension. The small angles
when rotating on the axis with the passage of a small breeze of air create a kinetic visual effect.
