A marina da Póvoa de Varzim foi construída pela Câmara Municipal da Póvoa de Varzim em 1999 a partir de um projeto criado pelo Clube Naval Povoense tendo uma parte da gestão sido entregue ao clube que organiza vários eventos. Com cerca de 241 postos de amarração e amplo espaço em terra para aparcamento e pequenas reparações dispõe de modernas instalações que assegurem todos os serviços necessários a uma cómoda estadia.  

O projeto de identidade Inspirado pelas siglas poveiras e as siglas que marcam os barcos para que fossem identificados pelos seus proprietários, esta é uma técnica já bastante antiga utilizada nos barcos que quis trazer para a nova identidade da marina, tornando-a fácil de ser identificada e de memorizar, trago assim um pedaço de história que é bastante presente nas ruas da Póvoa de Varzim e na marina para a nova identidade.  

Tal como referido anteriormente com este projeto pretende-se valorizar a história da marina trazendo uma parte da história da Póvoa e das suas siglas e as siglas apresentadas nos barcos, trouxe assim para o meu projeto uma fotografia tirada e editada por mim de um barco que acabei por utilizar ao longo do projeto, porque são os barcos o principal protagonista da marina a paixão pelos barcos e pela vida marítima, se pensarmos na vida e na nossa existência como uma viagem, o barco significa segurança, já que nos protege e nos permite sobreviver às intempéries das águas dos rios e do mar.  

Foi criada então a identidade da marina e fez-se assim a ligação da sigla do novo logo da marina com o barco remetendo as siglas que marcam os barcos e a história da marina, surgiu assim uma linguagem bastante clara e eficaz e fácil de memorizar e mais atual conciliando aos pictogramas criados que também vão ajudar a clarificar todo o percurso/visita da marina da Póvoa de Varzim e por fim foram criados alguns suportes de comunicação e merch para que se consiga atrair mais gente ao local.

The marina of Póvoa de Varzim was built by the Municipality of Póvoa de Varzim in 1999 from a project created by the Clube Naval Povoense having a part of the management been given to the club that organizes several events. With about 241 berths and ample space on land for mooring and small repairs has modern facilities that ensure all the necessary services for a comfortable stay.  

The identity project Inspired by the acronyms poveiras and the acronyms that mark the boats to be identified by their owners, this is a technique already quite old used in boats that I wanted to bring to the new identity of the marina, making it easy to be identified and memorize, thus bringing a piece of history that is very present in the streets of Póvoa de Varzim and the marina for the new identity.  

As previously mentioned with this project we intend to value the history of the marina bringing a part of Póvoa’s history and its acronyms and the acronyms presented on the boats, so I brought to my project a photograph taken and edited by me of a boat that I ended up using throughout the project, because the boats are the main protagonist of the marina the passion for boats and maritime life, if we think of life and our existence as a journey, the boat means security, since it protects us and allows us to survive the bad weather of the river and sea waters.  

It was then created the identity of the marina and made the connection of the acronym of the new logo of the marina with the boat, referring to the acronyms that mark the boats and the history of the marina, thus arose a very clear and effective language, easy to memorize and more current conciliating to the pictograms created that will also help to clarify all the route / visit the marina in Póvoa de Varzim and finally were created some communication supports and merchandising to attract more people to the site.
